The volume of information generated by even the most straightforward lawsuit can be staggering. In an effort to save you the headache we’ve answered some frequently asked questions.
Q- Why do I need to process my electronic data before review?
A- Processing is the key to ensuring your data can be reviewed quickly. It’s extremely important to take into consideration that electronic data comes in many forms, which means you’ll have to review, search, and deal with the information in many other ways, so why not make it easy on yourself?
Native data processing will set you up to open the files in one application instead of a separate application for each type of file. To make things simpler for you, data processing will take the multitude of files and will ensure that your entire data population is searchable, allowing your data to be searched through and reviewed efficiently. Besides creating one file, the other great feature is that processing allows you to search the text of documents with metadata fields such as the email sent and received date and also run deduplication which removes identical files from your review. Without this step culling, searching and technology assisted review would not be possible. We’d still have to handle electronic data similarly to how we review paper documents!
Q- What makes you different from all of the other litigation support providers, partners and vendors?
A- Besides offering the same high-end technology as national providers, we stand apart from the rest because we strive to put you first, no matter the circumstances. Our goals to stay deeply involved with our clients’ needs are reflected through consistent and time tested values and our ability to implement new methods and opportunities to assist them as efficiently as possible.
Our project management and responsiveness are the first steps to our success with clients because we make ourselves readily available for every call and email. We serve the Boston community as a local provider with options to work remotely, at our KEY Discovery office location or when the time is right, at your office location. We have many relationships and referrals in the local legal community and are happy to share them with potential new customers looking to give us a try. Our specialty is litigation support which includes end-to-end discovery, paper discovery, trial support, and court reporting services.
